A wildly inspiring property to soak in the slow life of Sicily by the sea (similar to what I envision for my own home and retreat property!). Our hotel has origins from the 13th century as a fishery/tuna factory, then a noble family built the villa and expanded it through the 16th century. We have our own private beach, and outside the front gate is a popular public dock to swim from as well. We’ll visit the small town of Scopello up the hill, hike and swim at the nearby nature reserve, eat fresh local fare, and fill up our sketchbooks with it all— from the changing colors of the sea to the warm glow of the rocky coast.

3:00pm Check-in, time to unpack, take a swim, relax

10-1:00 Sketching & Watercolor Workshop: Still lifes inspired by the Tonnara

1:00pm Free time, enjoy lunch at the Tonnara or walk into town

6:00pm *Sip ‘n Sketch: Meet for cocktails and bring your sketchbook!

7:30pm Free time: Cook and meet on terrace, or try a new restaurant in town

Day 3- Wednesday 27

8-10am Breakfast at the Tonnara

10-1:00 Hike and beach day at the Zingaro Nature Reserve, Slow Art Workshop

1:00pm Free time, lunch at the Tonnara or in town

6:00pm *Meet for a Sip n’ Sketch

7:30pm Dinner at a new spot in town with a view

DAY 4 - Thursday 28

10-1:00 Sketching & Watercolor Workshop: On-the-Go, People, Places
