For the past 15 years I’ve taught creative workshops (such beautiful weekend afternoons with Handcraft Studio School!), the ones below are my most popular, they are for everyone— ALL levels! I’m also available for private classes & workshops - for individuals, groups, and team-building! In-person and virtually.
SKETCHING & WATERCOLOR En Plein Air ! Sunday March 9 or March 23, 2025 / $155 (all supplies included) - bring a new friend for $120.
We’ll meet IN PERSON in the Bay Area! At a gorgeous private garden in Berkeley, CA, Sunday (two separate offerings: March 9th, & March 23rd), from 2-5pm. Please contact me for availability and payment options. Limited class size, all supplies included, tea and treats too! :)
We will sketch and paint from nature— flora, fauna, & landscape, building on our Zoom Sketching & Watercolor sessions and expanding to new styles and subjects. I’ll talk you through my approach, giving technique suggestions but most of all support to explore and play (the keystones to a creative practice)! We’ll finish with sharing and discussing our work. All supplies provided. Absolute beginners to seasoned artists welcome, color and nature therapy for all!
Beginning MODERN CALLIGRAPHY on Zoom with Diva
Let’s practice our ABC’s, get comfortable with our new tools, and learn some flourishes! We’ll also create a couple inspiring design projects. I will email you a simple list of my go-to supplies with links of where to buy if needed, as well as files to print out and use during our workshop. I have been teaching this workshop for over 10 years and still each time it is a magical thing to witness that beginner’s journey.. A challenging but very meditative practice, you might just get hooked ;)
Intro to BRUSH LETTERING on Zoom with Diva
Brush lettering is so loose and fun, and it can really pop on the page and screen (great for social media and branding)! We’ll have time to learn a few different lettering styles, incorporate some illustration, and finish a design project (or two). I’ll email you my list of supplies with links to purchase if needed, and also custom pdf’s to print out for class and practice. This workshop is a great follow up to my calligraphy workshop since we’ll be working with similar fonts. The more you practice the better you’ll get!
